Developed for the Cyprus Land Development Corporation (CLDC), this European architecture competition entry offers an alternative to market-driven housing by focusing on adaptability, inclusion, and spatial generosity.
At the heart of a fast-growing and vibrant commercial and office city centre, the design balances density with openness, allowing for residential integration through three prismatic volumes that interconnect via a meandering garden, truly accessible to all.
The flexible layouts of the 35 units respond to diverse living formats, while the material palette and passive shading systems are tailored to the Mediterranean climate. The architecture prioritizes long-term sustainability -not only environmental, but also social- by embedding the potential for change and growth within its spatial logic, envisioning housing not as a commodity, but as civic infrastructure.
