HOUSE T 2016 - 2025

The scheme aims at accommodating the diverse needs of a large family on vacation. The volume of a single building is broken down into smaller volumes with different dimensions, articulating a complex upon an artificial plateau once created for limestone extraction and production of lime.

The private areas of the house -bedrooms and wet areas- are located within scattered cubic volumes, with their in-between spaces accommodating common living spaces. Beneath a unifying green roof, the living spaces constitute extensions of the landscape revealing the unique panorama as a dynamic and alternating presence through the fully retractable sliding windows. Scattered upon the horizon of the green roof, the accessible roofs of the cubes offer 'open-air' rooms for sunbathing and the enjoyment of the spectacular view. Along the house, unifying the various elements stretches an elongated swimming pool in line with the horizon of the Aegean sea.
