The intervention introduces three spaces and three thresholds on the second floor of the Stathatos Mansion. The different in dimension prismatic, white, brightly illuminated spaces isolate the visitor from the museum’s environment, and through the use of distorted perspective direct his movement and focus his sight each time upon a different painting. The thresholds, as transition points, each time, redirect the visitor to the next space, to a new context.
The white surfaces and the bright neon light recreate the artist’s studio’s conditions, where the paintings were created.
